Dhamma Siri The land and associated property for Dhamma Siri were purchased in July 1990. The center comprises twenty acres of agricultural land on a quiet dead-end road outside of a small town 45 minutes from Dallas.

It is unique among American centres in being so close to a large metropolitan centre (4 million people of mixed races). Periodic Spanish / English courses are offered as are discourses in various Indian and Asian languages.

The modern, fully air-conditioned house accommodates the kitchen as well as the male and female dining areas. A separate air-conditioned Dhamma Hall seating approximately one hundred students stands next to the main house. At the rear of the property is the Dhamma Siri Pagoda, a 2 story structure with individual meditation cells for approximately 100 students. A male residence building with 36 separate rooms (8 of which have attached baths) and a common area with 6 private toilets and 6 private shower/dressing rooms is nearby. Standing on the opposite side of the campus from the men's residence is a separate female residence building having 50 individual rooms each with an attached bath. Dhamma Siri Pond

The grounds of the Center are quite nice with many flowers, trees, bushes and shrubs around the main house. A large pond which will eventually be landscapted into a student walking area is not far from the front of the house. Overall, the Center provides a quiet, secluded and comfortable environment for the self-introspection that forms an integral part of a Vipassana meditation course.

Dhamma Siri Pagoda In summer of 2006 most of the construction for Dhamma Siri Pagoda was completed. This centrally heat and air conditioned pagoda includes 100 private meditation cells for old students. The individual meditation cells that make up the pagoda will allow old students to meditate more deeply with fewer distractions. These cells will be especially useful for those old students who are doing long courses at the Center.
